Schedules & cycles

How to track a prescribed peptide cycle

If your clinician has supplied a plan with on and off weeks, cycle tracking is a calendar task: preserve the start date, the instructions, and what actually happened. A tracker should reflect that plan without choosing a cycle for you.

Write down the plan before counting weeks

Keep the treatment name, start date, number of on weeks, number of off weeks, and the schedule within an on week together. Copy those values from the plan you were given. If “week one” or a restart date is unclear, ask the prescriber to clarify before entering it.

Use calendar dates alongside week numbers. “The plan started on this date” is easier to check than a note that says only “week three.” Keep a reference to when the instructions were supplied or changed.

Separate the cycle calendar from the dose history

The calendar describes intended on and off periods. Dose history records administrations. Missing a log entry should not silently move the cycle’s start date, and an unexpected administration should not rewrite the plan.

In a paper log, keep the calendar on one page and administrations on another. In PepShot, enter the cycle supplied by your clinician and record administrations against that treatment. Review the calendar and the history together when you need to understand a gap.

Document interruptions and changes

Travel, an appointment, or a clinician’s updated instruction can create a break in the expected pattern. Record the date and the instruction you received. Do not infer a new restart date from the number of missed reminders.

When the plan changes, preserve earlier administrations. Add a dated note about the new instructions so future you can distinguish an intentional change from a missing record.

Keep a separate timeline for each treatment

Two treatments can have different start dates and schedules. One shared “current week” note can become ambiguous. Give each its own plan and history, even when some administrations happen on the same day.

A short weekly review can focus on record quality: missing dates, ambiguous units, and notes that need clarification. It should not become a self-directed review of what dose or compound to use.

What PepShot handles

PepShot supports on/off-week tracking for the cycle you enter, alongside reminders, dose history, and vial inventory. It does not decide whether a treatment should be cycled, how long a cycle should last, or when you should restart after an interruption.

If your plan is a regular weekly shot without on/off phases, use a weekly schedule instead of adding a cycle. The GLP-1 shot log guide explains how to keep that history clear.
